Latest company news about Aluminum-Clad Steel In OPGW Optical Cable

Aluminum-clad steel is an important component of OPGW optical cable. Since ordinary steel has low-temperature brittleness, the decrease in temperature has a great impact on its mechanical properties. As the temperature decreases, the yield strength (fy) and ultimate strength (fu) of the steel will increase, while the plasticity, elongation (δ), cross-sectional shrinkage (Ψ) and other indicators of the steel will decrease. Low-temperature brittleness is the main indicator of steel performance under extreme low temperatures. The low-temperature brittleness of steel is mainly affected by the following factors:

(1) Alloy elements

(2) Effect of metallurgical process on low temperature brittleness

(3) Effect of heat treatment on low temperature brittleness

When our company Ebocom produces OPGW optical cables, we use high-quality aluminum-clad steel materials that comply with national standards to ensure the mechanical properties of the optical cables.
